This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka JobType: full-time We are looking for a qualified and hands-on Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead and manage the financial operations of a growing organization. This role involves overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making for key stakeholders. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian statutory regulations. Oversee end-to-end operations in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Taxation, and other compliance areas. Finalize trial balances and prepare monthly/quarterly provisions. Generate and present financial statements, MIS, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders including CXOs, Board members, and auditors. Forecast cash flows, assess borrowing needs, and manage fund allocation for expenses and investments. Support the budgeting process across organizational and functional levels; analyze variances and provide insights on deviations. Collaborate with external partners such as banks, legal advisors, payroll vendors, and government authorities. Ensure timely and accurate GST filings and tax compliance. Lead and support statutory and internal audits to ensure timely closure and compliance. Provide cross-functional financial insights and support reconciliations, statements, and special projects. Design and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures that align with best practices and compliance standards. Qualifications & Skills: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of relevant experience in startups, small-to-medium enterprises, or technology-led companies. Prior exposure to e-commerce or D2C businesses is highly desirable. Experience in setting up or scaling finance functions in fast-growing environments. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial due diligence (FDD), and audit processes. Comfortable working in dynamic, high-ambiguity environments and wearing multiple hats as needed. Proficient in business planning, MIS reporting, financial analysis, and compliance management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
