As a Senior Accountant at our company, your primary role will involve supporting financial reporting and day-to-day accounting activities for our Cayman Islands-based clients. You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations, managing general ledger activities and transactions, assisting with budgeting and variance analysis, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and leading and mentoring junior accounting staff. Your expertise in IFRS, familiarity with Cayman Islands financial regulations, and proficiency in accounting software will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulations - Support consolidation activities for client reporting - Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions - Assist in budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analyses - Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures - Participate in process improvements in accounting systems - Train, supervise, and mentor junior accounting staff **Required Qualifications and Skills:** - CA / CPA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) - Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience - Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with Cayman Islands financial regulations - Experience in leading, training, or managing junior staff in finance or accounting - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) - Advanced Excel and data analysis skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to work independently across different time zones - High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset In this role, your performance will be measured based on the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, successful month/quarter/year-end closings, quality of mentoring provided, effectiveness in budgeting and variance analysis, implementation of process improvements, and level of compliance with internal controls and external standards.
