Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for connecting overseas medical device manufacturers with Indian distributors as a Channel Manager. Your role will involve understanding medical products, articulating technical and commercial benefits, and engaging in business communication. This sales-focused position requires frequent travel to meet distributors, assess market needs, and facilitate collaboration between parties. Key Responsibilities: - Build and manage relationships with Indian distributors across various specialties such as surgical, diagnostic, orthopedics, and wound care. - Evaluate distributor portfolios and match them with suitable global manufacturers in Morulaa Network based on product fit and regional potential. - Regularly meet and consult with distributors to understand their needs, introduce new products, and encourage multi-brand partnerships. - Understand the product portfolio, strengths, and positioning of overseas manufacturers. - Communicate clearly and professionally with manufacturers regarding distributor interest, feedback, and market insights. - Act as a liaison to ensure smooth onboarding and coordination between manufacturers and selected distributors. - Develop a thorough understanding of medical devices, including key features, indications, and competitor landscape. - Explain product value propositions clearly to non-technical stakeholders at distributor firms. - Monitor competitor activity and pricing strategies to assist in positioning the manufacturers' products competitively. - Draft clear, concise, and compelling emails and business proposals for manufacturers and distributors. - Prepare presentations, product synopses, and follow-up summaries after meetings. - Maintain organized records of outreach, engagement, and progress using CRM tools. - Report on partnership outcomes, bottlenecks, and market dynamics regularly. - Travel extensively across India (approximately 60-70% travel expected) to meet with distributor partners, attend conferences, and conduct product briefings. - Represent the company and partner manufacturers at exhibitions and trade shows. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field. - Minimum 4-7 years of experience in channel sales, distributor management, or business development in the medical devices sector. - Strong understanding of various medical device categories, clinical use, and the Indian regulatory landscape. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for drafting clear and persuasive business emails. - Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in managing expectations of Indian distributors and international manufacturers. - Willingness to travel across India and coordinate with overseas clients in different time zones.
