Our operations encompass the production of solar cells, wafers, glass, backsheets, encapsulants, junction boxes, frames, connectors, and the final assembly of PV modules. We are experiencing rapid growth and seek a dynamic and experienced General Manager. Location: Hyderabad Experience: 15+ years in Sales Leadership, preferably within the Solar PV industry or related renewable energy sectors for 5+yrs. Demonstrated experience in building sales teams and distribution networks from scratch. Salary: Competitive (Commensurate with experience and market standards) Reports To: CEO/Managing Director Job Overview: We are seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic VP - National Sales Head to lead the sales function for our newly established Solar PV unit. This is a unique opportunity to build the sales strategy and market presence from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a hands-on leader, and a proven executor with a strong track record of building high-performing sales teams and driving revenue growth in the solar industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the solar PV market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create and implement a national sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy for the Solar PV unit, including target market segmentation, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and sales targets. Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and develop effective sales plans. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop and manage the sales budget. 2. Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing national sales team, including regional sales managers, sales representatives, and support staff. Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing development to the sales team to maximize their potential. Foster a positive and results-oriented sales culture. Distribution Network Development: Establish and manage a robust distribution network, including dealers, distributors, installers, and other channel partners. Identify and onboard strategic partners who can effectively promote and sell our Solar PV products. Develop and implement channel partner programs to incentivize sales and build strong relationships. Key Account Management: Identify and manage key accounts, including large commercial and industrial customers, government agencies, and utility companies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at these accounts. Negotiate and close large-scale solar PV projects. Market Penetration & Brand Building: Develop and execute marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate leads. Participate in industry events and conferences to promote our Solar PV products and build relationships with potential customers. Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets. Provide regular sales reports to senior management, including sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis. Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective action as needed. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 15+ years of progressive sales experience, with a significant portion in a leadership role within the Solar PV industry or a related field (e.g., renewable energy, electrical equipment). Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the solar PV market, including technologies, applications, regulations, and competitive landscape. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Solar PV systems and components. Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across the country. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or other advanced degree in business or a related field.
