Job Title: Change Coordinator Location: [Chennai] Department: IT Service Management Reports To: Change Manager Job Summary: The Change Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating changes to IT services and infrastructure in accordance with the ITIL framework. This role ensures that changes are implemented smoothly, with minimal disruption to services, and align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Change Request Management: Receive, log, and prioritize change requests (CRs). Ensure all necessary information is included in the CRs. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather additional details if required. Change Assessment and Planning: Assess the impact, risk, and benefits of proposed changes. Collaborate with the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to review and approve changes. Develop detailed change plans, including timelines, resources, and testing requirements. Change Implementation: Coordinate the implementation of approved changes. Ensure all pre-implementation activities, such as testing and validation, are completed. Communicate with relevant teams to ensure smooth execution. Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of changes. Document lessons learned and identify areas for improvement. Provide feedback to the Change Manager and CAB. Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all change activities. Update stakeholders on the status of changes. Prepare and distribute change management reports. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the change management process. Participate in training and development activities to stay current with ITIL best practices. Day in the Life of a Change Coordinator: Morning: Review the change request queue and prioritize new requests. Attend the daily stand-up meeting with the IT team to discuss ongoing and upcoming changes. Coordinate with the Change Manager to prepare for the CAB meeting. Midday: Participate in the CAB meeting to review and assess change requests. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather additional information for high-priority changes. Develop detailed change plans for approved changes. Afternoon: Coordinate with implementation teams to ensure all pre-implementation activities are completed. Monitor the progress of ongoing changes and provide updates to stakeholders. Conduct post-implementation reviews for recently completed changes. End of Day: Document lessons learned from the day's activities. Update the change management system with the latest information. Prepare reports for the Change Manager and CAB. Note- This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. A background in IT service management and familiarity with the ITIL framework is essential.
