We are looking for Database / SQL Developer. who has in-depth experience with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2008/2012/2014 / 2016+ and above. The Ideal candidate will have an extensive enterprise background using MS SQL Server and be able to understand complex SQL design concepts, practices and procedures.This position involves identifying business requirements, developing data models, performing data analysis, writing advanced SQL queries, designing and coding complex stored procedures and performance tuning existing database processes. None the less this role implements architecture-centric solutions in addition to providing guidance to the developers in delivering solutions that adhere to and meets the strategic objectives. set by the Enterprise Data Architect and Informatics Leadership. Roles & Responsibilities : 4+ years of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL experience. Good experience on ETL Tools. Strong SQL query, ETL and data architecture experience. Experience with large table maintenance ( Partitioning tables, adding columnar indexes ) Experience working with Big Data & Data Lakes. Understand destination schema and able to ETL data from any source into target system Ability to write complex data transformations logic. Ability to work with business users to elicit clarification on data, processes and structure. Ability to automated SQL Server Maintenance; Redgate Tools. SSIS package development. Ability to perform DBA activities like setting up Index maintenance, log file, etc. Experience in automating deployment of sql scripts Experience in setting up SQL Jobs (transaction logs, DB backups ) Understand complex SQL procedures.Preferred candidate profile Ability to debug SQL procedures and understand the program flow with minimal guidance. Familiarity with different versions of SSDT, able to upgrade packages and understand and debug scripting components. Experience in Insurance or reinsurance domain is added advantage. Ability to utilize explain plan to identify pressure points and suggest changes in indexes, table design. Experience with importing/exporting data from excel files with different character sets and understanding of collation.
