Job Description

Role Overview: As the HVDC SCM Contracted Services Category Specialist, your mission is to execute and implement the Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy for design and construction-related services in Tenders and Projects. Your focus will be on optimizing costs, quality, and HSE compliance. You will work closely with the SCM Contracted Services Category Manager to ensure process compliance according to Company, SCM, and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement subcontracting strategy in alignment with business requirements and Company Policies, emphasizing the selection of subcontractors based on quality, HSE, delivery, cost, and sustainability. - Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of agreed strategies and execute processes accordingly. - Negotiate subcontracts with subcontractors in ongoing projects as per business needs. - Drive the selection process of professional subcontractors from RFQ to handover to the operation team, evaluating performance based on HSE, Quality, delivery, and cost. - Collaborate internally to define and implement new processes and tools, clarifying interfaces with other internal stakeholders. - Prepare subcontracts for design and construction related services in collaboration with Category Manager and Contract Management, including drafting local subcontract templates. - Identify and report risks associated with deviations from tenderers, suggesting mitigation actions. - Support HVDC sourcing initiatives and implement efficient execution strategies. - Assist Construction & Commissioning and Engineering function in obtaining market information for project budget setup. - Lead the Procurement process and procure business required services in accordance with quality, financial requirements, commercial procedures, and Company guidelines. - Foster clear communication internally and externally, supporting SCM activities and initiatives in the Region/Country. - Systematically assess subcontractors and suppliers" strengths, performance, and capabilities, planning and executing activities to maximize value. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/masters degree or minimum 10 years of working experience in Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Contract Management, or Site Management. - Proficiency in spoken and written English language is essential.,
