We have a suitable opening in the Operations – Sourcing department for the role of Category Sourcing Manager - Upstream Packaging, SAPMENA & North Asia , based in Mumbai . What is Sourcing? Sourcing is part of the extended value chain of L'Oréal. Our role is to understand our business needs, source the best ecosystem, develop suppliers’ partnerships and reinvent our ways of working in a responsible and innovative way. As we say in L’Oréal, we need to seize what is starting and transform it to create the beauty that moves the world finding the best partners by our side along the way. What is Direct Sourcing? Direct sourcing is related to the manufacture of cosmetic products (raw materials, packaging, subcontracting, augmented beauty). What is the Category Team? The category teams’ role is to gather internal needs and extended ecosystem opportunities and risks, to build strategy on category of purchases, to build and guide the roadmap of implementation of this strategy with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for the Supplier Relationship management of our strategic partners. Your key responsibility will be to build the strategy on your categories under the Worldwide frame, to drive our suppliers to support our key stakes and to follow the roadmap of implementation through operational project or animation of stakeholders, in accordance with the Group's Sourcing policies and strategies. In this role, you will have a great diversity of activities and will have the opportunity to deal with various stakeholders, from L'Oréal experts to Divisions. You will work with suppliers and organization of the ecosystem from all around the world. You will be able to learn, build your expertise, develop your extended ecosystem and unleash your potential! Job Responsibilities Be the global sourcing expert on your categories: global market analysis, identification of internal experts and external ecosystems and knowledge capitalization on technologies Analysis of the needs on the category on the global level and for all brands of the Group, in collaboration with business teams and internal stakeholders Co build and validate the worldwide strategy on the category with close collaboration with the related worldwide & regional category managers, the business teams and the L’Oreal experts Ensure the strategy roll out through communication to stakeholders, key projects implementation Supplier Relationship Management over the global or strategic regional suppliers Animate the supplier relationship for the global suppliers: Target business development, improvement of the performance of the supplier (competitiveness, Supply, Quality, Sustainability, innovation) Contractualization the main agreements: Master agreement, commercial agreement… Manage the risk on your supplier’s portfolio Market opportunities: watch and catch innovations and opportunities on the supplier market or technologies with a strong value-added potential for L’Oreal, on sustainability, responsiveness and/or competitiveness, scout new suppliers to meet the needs of your category, Contribute to continuous improvement and budget yearly exercise Professional & Technical Competencies Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience.
