All about the role -
Category Manager & Product Development in Charge of Food Preparation and Food Preservation sourced from India.
What you'll do"-
Category Management and Product Launch (India Sourced)
-
Initiate new product development together with R&D, Marketing and Design based on the category innovation territories

Develop and own the product category strategic plan as part of the overall product line strategic plan
-
Own and define the product category Generation Plan based on consumer insights, business needs, market development and brand attributes
-
Driving the communication with the suppliers in India related to cost, required products, timeline and project development steps.

Maintaining and reviewing the product range performance and actions to improve, eg mix, price, and range renewal

Prepare/execute market launches with product Marketing

Monitor market and industry trends, long-term areas of interest and technological developments
-
Support Project Development Check/Point activities based on the defined range
-
Responsible internal model code and PNC creation process( ROL, PS/PVP database)

Handling ramp-up and production plan with suppliers and supply chain
-
Define and assign USPs and RTBs for each base model
-
Provide STK1(cost) estimations for new projects / confirm real vs. estimation
Development / Quality Engineer
-
Follow up OEM/ODM product development process, provide technical support to project manager.
-
Work closely with suppliers to create and update R&D design and prepare prototypes according to product spec.

Follow up Test Plan with supplier eventually participating in test sessions if needed, support the supplier in the technical documentation deliveries for fulfillment of Tech Requirement.

Verify BOMs of ODM products and inquire suppliers for all components based on R&D design.

Following up OEM&ODM trial run & pilot run samples, create and update testing plan according to sample status inspection result, support action plan to fix all issues found during testing together with suppliers.

Contribute to DFMEA& PSRA reports together with all project members based on samples inspection, feedback to supplier and provide technical suggestions, following up improving status and update both reports.

Inspect all literature drawings, especially technical clauses on labels, UMs prepared by supplier, feedback to project members and make sure all declarations keep align with products.

After Implementation of Project and Start of Production, support the Product Care phase, with regular visits/audits to supplier side, following up all potential Quality Improvements and Cost Out activities generating over time.

Ensuring that all products under processing are produced according to their related specs running Product (OQC) and Process (IPA) Quality audit according to the checklist shared.

Establish plans to ensure Supplier readiness to SOP with focus on Prevention, PFMEA, PC.

Ensure support for Quality Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement in collaboration with Central Quality creating and following up Supplier action list.
Who You Are :-
-
Minimum bachelors degree in engineering. Masters is Business or Marketing additional to Engineering is a benefit.

Product Management, Project Management Experience in Household Appliances Industry. Having R&D experience is an advantage.

Food Preparation and Food Preservation Major Appliances Category experience is a plus
-
Analytical and computer skills

Where you will be :-
You will be reporting to PL Director & Head of Taste IMEA under Business Unit of Product Line and will be based in Mumbai, India.
