Category Manager


Key Responsibilities


  • Category Strategy Development:

    Develop and implement comprehensive category plans that address market opportunities, consumer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Brand Management:

    Manage the brand portfolio, ensuring consistent brand messaging, positioning, and identity across all touchpoints.
  • Market Analysis:

    Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify category trends, growth drivers, and competitive threats.
  • Product Portfolio Management:

    Optimize the product assortment, including new product development, product launches, and product rationalization.
  • Pricing Strategy:

    Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share, while remaining competitive.
  • Promotional Planning:

    Plan and execute effective promotional activities and campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Sales Collaboration:

    Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective execution of category plans and achievement of sales targets.
  • Budget Management:

    Manage the category budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    Track and analyze category performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions



Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • MBA from a reputed university, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in category/brand management within the skincare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in brand building and market share growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong understanding of the Indian skincare market.
