Cassandra Database Administrator

As a Cassandra Database Administrator (DBA) at our client's organization, your role will involve the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Apache Cassandra databases. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of the database, managing schemas, backups, and user permissions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra database clusters in both development and production environments. - Manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and user permissions. - Perform database backups, recovery, and restoration activities. - Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners to enhance your expertise. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven hands-on experience in Cassandra Database Administration and Apache Cassandra on Linux servers. - Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and availability. - Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and AZURE, as well as container technology like Docker. - Solid understanding of TCP/IP. - Experience with automation tools and scripting, preferably Ansible. Scripting skills in bash and python are desirable. Please note that the salary band for this position is as per market standards, and the mode of hire is on a contract basis. The location for this role is Chennai, and the ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Cassandra DBA. The notice period for this position is 0-15 days or serving notice period.
