About The Role
The career guidance counselor’s primary role is to aid our students with deciphering and selecting their preferred career trajectories. The career counselor will be required to uncover students' prominent and latent strengths, administer, and score aptitude measures, and then confer with management to deliberate findings obtained.
What You Will Be Doing
- Helping students develop academic plans that match their skills and strengths.
- Collaborating with other staff members
- Facilitating crisis intervention and prevention programs
- Communicating with Teachers, parents, and administrators about a student's progress regularly
- Building non-judgmental relationships based on trust and respect.
- Analyzing student performance in the classroom
- Helping School Administrators plan and carry out school-related programs and events.
- Helping students talk about their feelings and think about their choices.
- Works with the staff, students, and students' parents to create a healthy and productive environment for the pupils.
- Listen to problems regarding schoolwork or stress that may arise during an academic year and offer guidance in overcoming them and work with other Teachers and staff members to create training and programs that can help students excel.
- Conducting PSAT and SAT Exams
- Should share important announcements.
- Should be able to conduct aptitude tests and psychometric tests.

- Excellent verbal communication skills
- The ability to balance administrative and support services.
- A good understanding of the schooling system
- Active listening skills
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- The ability to understand people's reactions.
- Patience and the ability to accept criticism.
- A course in counselling is mandatory.
Qualifications:
- Degree from a recognized University
- Certification in Counselling will be an added advantage.
- Previous proven experience of 2 to 8 years.
- Membership with the British Association for Counselling is desirable.
