Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic test results.
  • Perform and interpret advanced cardiac imaging studies such as echocardiography, cardiac ultrasound, and angiography.
  • Utilize and manage cardiac catheterization equipment and angioplasty tools to perform interventional procedures including coronary angioplasty and stent placements.
  • Monitor and analyze data from Holter monitors and other ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices to assess arrhythmias and other rhythm disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, incorporating pharmacological, interventional, and lifestyle interventions.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development.
  • Provide patient education on heart health, risk factor modification, and post-procedural care.
  • Support on-call duties and emergency cardiac care as required by hospital protocols.

Requirements:

  • MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MD/DNB) and a recognized specialization in Cardiology (DM/DNB Cardiology).
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in a hospital or cardiac care setting.
  • Proficiency in the use and interpretation of cardiac ultrasound machines, echocardiography, angiography, and Holter monitoring systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cardiac catheterization procedures and familiarity with angioplasty tools, including stent deployment and balloon angioplasty.
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and families.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning in a fast-evolving medical environment.
  • Valid medical license and registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage time efficiently, and maintain composure during emergencies.
