Job Description – Café Manager-cum-Cashier

The Café Manager-cum-Cashier will oversee daily café operations — managing customer service, billing, stock purchasing, and staff coordination to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience. This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, responsibility, and a friendly customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Operations

• Open and close the café on time.
• Ensure café cleanliness, ambience, and setup are ready before opening.
• Supervise the barista and coordinate order flow during busy hours.
• Maintain quality and presentation standards for all food and beverages.

2. Billing & Cash Management

• Operate POS system for all orders and payments.
• Manage cash drawer and UPI/card settlements daily.
• Maintain accurate sales reports and end-of-day reconciliations.
• Handle refunds, discounts, or billing errors as per policy.

3. Purchasing & Inventory

• Track daily stock usage (milk, fruits, bakery, disposables, etc.).
• Place purchase orders to vendors on time to prevent stock-outs.
• Check and record received goods (quantity, expiry, condition).
• Maintain daily/weekly inventory sheets and reorder levels.

4. Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers warmly.
• Manage table orders, seating, and quick service flow.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
• Ensure music, lighting, and cleanliness create a welcoming ambience.

5. Reporting & Coordination

• Share daily sales and expense summary with owner.
• Coordinate with barista for prep needs and ingredient usage.
• Maintain vendor contact list and ensure timely payments.
• Keep record of staff attendance and daily shift checklist.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in café, restaurant, or retail operations.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and digital payments.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and leadership skills.
• Punctual, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
• Must be comfortable managing both front-end and back-end tasks.

Working Hours

• Two shifts (as per café timings): Morning & Evening; 9–10 hours per day with one weekly off.

Compensation

• Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 / month (depending on experience)
• Performance Bonus: Based on monthly sales targets, reviews, and inventory control.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
