CAE Technical Specialist Python Application Development

As a Python developer at VCollab, your role will involve supporting VCollab customers by creating custom scripts and interfaces to enable them to read FEA, CFD, and CAD files of various formats, extract necessary data, and generate 3-D visualization reports. Key Responsibilities: - Customize VCollab translators and viewers to fulfill customer requests by developing scripts and user interfaces using VCollab Python APIs - Develop Python scripts to automate VCollab application execution and generate 3D digital reports as per customer requirements - Collaborate with product managers, pre- and post-sales teams, customers, prospects, and resellers to identify workflows for customer functionality and provide necessary customization and automation support - Coordinate with other VCollab team members to extract required information from viewers - Engage in research and development projects Required Competencies and Experience: - Strong proficiency in Python with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and Numpy - Proficient knowledge of engineering mechanics fundamentals, structural and fluid dynamics, finite element and/or finite volume methods - Familiarity with common data structures, algorithms in finite element solvers, meshing algorithms, tessellation, and solid modeling - Experience in Abaqus, Ansys, and Hypermesh scripting and automation - Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems - Proficient in code versioning using Git and issue tracking tools like Jira and Zendesk - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong technical writing abilities - A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automobile or related field is highly preferred Position Availability: - Bangalore, India - Detroit/Troy, MI, USA In case of any additional details of the company, they are not present in the provided job description.,
