Your impact Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to support our Airport Master Planning team. The CAD Technician will be responsible for creating and revising technical drawings, plans, and layouts for airport development projects. This role requires basic understanding of Aviation drawing requirements along with a strong understanding of CAD software, drafting standards, and a passion for contributing to complex and impactful Aviation projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including airport layout plans, terminal designs, airfield layouts, and other related infrastructure, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Assist in the development of airport master plans by creating visual representations of existing conditions, proposed developments, and phasing plans. Collaborate with airport planners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project team members and clients. Maintain organized records of all project drawings and related documentation. Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather data and verify existing conditions. Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports by creating visual aids such as maps, charts, and diagrams. Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software and drafting techniques. Adhere to company CAD standards and best practices. Work on a variety of airport projects, including those related to runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and support facilities. Here's what you'll need Degree or Diploma in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the aviation industry (Minimum 1-2 yrs) and with civil engineering projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required. Experience with other CAD software, such as MicroStation or Revit, is a plus. Strong understanding of drafting standards, including ICAO/AAI standards like ICAO Annex 14 ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual Part 1- Runways ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual Part 2- Taxiways, Aprons and Holding Bays Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with airport planning principles and terminology is highly desirable. Experience with GIS software is a plus.
