Job Description

We are looking to hire for the below roles: CAD Drafter Summary : Under direct supervision by Engineering Manager, produce design drawings using AutoCAD and Microstation proficiently. Use Thermon established guidelines and procedures to prepare heat tracing isometrics, panelboard schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, and location plans. Create composite single line piping isometric takeoffs from customer orthographic piping drawings and piping isometrics Job Profile Teamwork - Interact with the other CAD operators, HT designers, and Engineering Manager to generate drawings. Ability to draw and plot to scale Gain knowledge about the HT systems that are being drafted Ability to create 2D / 3D component drawings Keep current with changes in CAD program features and functions Prepare and self-review drawings for accuracy Conduct site surveys to sketch information required for heat tracing design (If necessary) Adhere to company's policies, procedures and standard. Competences Computer literate Basic MS Office skills Sound knowledge of 3-D modelling (PDMS, PDS, SmartPlant 3D) Ability and desire to learn with positive atitude, experiences and examples of supervisors Able to assist in preparation of MTO, piping layouts Knowledge of drafting as per engineering standards Foster collaboration and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Experience using AutoCAD/ Microstation/PDMS/ PDS/ SP3D/CADD WORKS Experience in Electrical or Piping CAD drafting preferred Education: • Diploma / Certification from reputed organization or B.Tech/B.E. • Basic CAD skills.
