Evaluate and underwrite business loan proposals, project-finance proposals and DPRs — including detailed financial analysis, cash flow projections, fund flow statements, balance sheet analysis, debt servicing capacity, and credit risk assessment.

Prepare loan/credit proposals for submission to banks or financial institutions, including credit notes, project reports, risk mitigation plans, and supporting documentation.

Conduct ratio analysis, financial statement analysis, industry and business outlook analysis, and viability assessment of borrowers / projects

Perform pre-sanction and post-sanction reviews: site visits if needed (for projects), inspections, stock checking / verification where applicable.

Monitor existing loan/credit portfolio — track disbursement status, monitor repayments, compliance with loan covenants, periodic financial health checks, and risk exposure.

Liaise with banks, NBFCs or other financing institutions — handle documentation, communication, follow-up, and ensure timely processing of credit proposals.

Ensure compliance with banking policies, internal credit guidelines, and applicable statutory or regulatory norms relevant to project funding and credit underwriting.

Prepare regular MIS / financial reports, project-finance reports, credit-risk reports and present findings / recommendations to senior management / sanctioning authority.

Collaborate with other internal departments (accounts, legal, operations, project teams) to gather required data and ensure alignment of financial/project assumptions.

Support internal or external audits, respond to audit queries, and maintain proper documentation, records and archives relevant to credit and project finance

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), or CA-qualified
• Minimum relevant experience (e.g. 3–7 years) in banking credit appraisal, project finance
• Good understanding of banking products, credit/loan documentation, project finance structure, and risk assessment
