Role Overview: Elchemy is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace with a vision to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focusing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach. The company has scaled up operations to serve more than 32 countries and has active partnerships with numerous customers and suppliers. The team comprises highly ambitious individuals with diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, aiming to create a high-performance environment where outstanding results are delivered. Key Responsibilities: - **US Market Expansion & Growth Ownership:** - Own the GTM strategy and P&L for the chemicals vertical in the US market. - Identify high-potential white spaces, win new business, and scale Elchemy's footprint across untapped regions and customer segments. - Obsess over growth from the first customer conversation to the final invoice. - **Build & Lead a Sales Rocketship:** - Hire, coach, and lead a lean, high-performance sales squad focused on ownership and velocity. - Set clear OKRs, drive team accountability, and promote a culture of hustle, experimentation, and constant iteration. - Make the team 10x better with your leadership. - **Customer Obsession & Key Account Growth:** - Develop deep, strategic relationships with top accounts. - Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, embedding Elchemy into their supply chain DNA. - Act as the go-to person for problem-solving and future planning. - **Strategic Sales Execution:** - Translate business vision into a focused sales playbook covering targeting, outreach, closing, and retention. - Prioritize initiatives that drive significant impact and eliminate inefficiencies. - Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure promises are delivered promptly. - **Sales-Tech Stack & Data-Driven Ops:** - Advocate for CRM adoption, sales automation, and performance dashboards to enhance sales effectiveness. - Utilize data for actionable insights rather than just reporting. - Empower the team to focus more on selling by reducing administrative tasks. - **Insights, Feedback Loops & Market Intelligence:** - Stay informed about customer behavior, competitive intelligence, and market trends. - Share insights to influence product development, strategy, and decision-making processes. - Act as the primary source of ground-level feedback and a key contributor in strategic discussions. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of experience in B2B sales in the global market. - Techno-commercial mindset blending deep product knowledge with strategic deal-making skills. - Proven track record of owning and scaling sales functions in fast-paced environments. - Strong leadership abilities with experience in building, mentoring, and scaling sales teams. - Experience in managing distributors, enterprise clients, and channel partners. - Strong business acumen with a mindset of P&L ownership. - Startup DNA with a bias for action, high ownership, low ego, and relentless drive. - Bonus: Experience in an early-stage or high-growth environment.,
