Job Title: Business Development – ESG Location: Mumbai/Pune Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience into ESG Department: Business Development / ESG Advisory Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and purpose-driven professional to join our team as a Business Development – ESG . This role focuses on identifying and nurturing opportunities in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) domain, working at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ESG trends and policies, with a flair for research, networking, and strategic growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Market Intelligence & ESG Research Conduct in-depth research on ESG regulations, sustainability trends, and impact investment markets. Track national and international ESG-related policies, frameworks (like BRSR, TCFD, GRI), and evolving client needs. Identify emerging ESG consulting opportunities and share actionable insights with internal stakeholders. Develop ESG-focused content for thought leadership on platforms like LinkedIn and webinars. 2. ESG Proposal Development & Tender Management Monitor ESG-related RFPs, tenders, and grants from both government and private sectors. Maintain and update ESG-specific proposal templates, decks, and pitch material. Coordinate with technical and consulting teams to develop high-quality ESG proposals. Build a repository of past bids, feedback, and lessons learned to enhance future proposal quality. 3. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Generate and qualify leads in the ESG space through industry outreach, partnerships, and strategic alliances. Engage with corporates, financial institutions, government bodies, and NGOs to understand their ESG goals. Facilitate business meetings and presentations to position the firm’s ESG capabilities. Support negotiations, contracting, and onboarding of new ESG clients. 4. Representation at ESG Forums & Sustainability Events Represent the firm at key ESG conferences, sustainability expos, and policy roundtables. Help organize and manage knowledge-sharing events, workshops, and ESG roundtables hosted by the firm. Capture insights from forums to inform and shape ESG business development strategies. 5. Internal Coordination & Reporting Collaborate with ESG practice leads and partners to shape the firm’s go-to-market strategy. Maintain a detailed CRM of ESG leads, interactions, and pipeline status. Provide periodic reports and updates to the leadership team on ESG business development progress and forecasts.
