Job Description

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Leasing: Identify, approach, and onboard retail brands across various categories to name a few (apparel, digital, skincare, cosmetics, luggage, footwear, etc.) for sub-leasing. Develop and execute strategies to maximize occupancy and rental income from retail spaces. Negotiate commercial terms and agreements with brands, ensuring win-win partnerships . Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and retail opportunities to bring the best brands to the airport. 2. Operations & P&L Management: Oversee daily operations of the retail segment , ensuring seamless execution and profitability. Maintain and monitor P&L performance , optimizing costs while driving revenue. Implement operational strategies to enhance customer experience, sales performance, and store efficiency . Coordinate with store teams, vendors, and facility management to maintain high operational standards . 3. Stakeholder & Government Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with AAI, BCAS, concessionaires, and airport authorities to ensure smooth business operations. Ensure compliance with all airport regulations, security protocols, and statutory requirements . Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational and business challenges . 4. Compliance & Administration: Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements for retail operations at the airport are met. Manage documentation, contracts, and agreements related to sub-leasing and vendor operations . Oversee the approval process for brand sign-ups, ensuring all necessary permits and clearances are obtained. Key Skills & Competencies: Business Development & Negotiation Skills Ability to acquire and onboard brands successfully. Retail Operations Management – Hands-on experience in handling multi-brand retail operations. P&L Management – Strong financial acumen to optimize revenues and profitability. Stakeholder Relationship Management – Experience in dealing with AAI, BCAS, and other airport authorities. Strategic Planning & Execution – Ability to implement growth strategies and operational efficiencies. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Proactive approach to resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Experience: MBA/PGDM in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Retail Leasing, or Airport Operations. Prior experience in airport retail operations or commercial leasing is preferred. Strong understanding of airport regulations, retail formats, and lease structuring . Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Reporting To: Directors Compensation: Competitive salary with performance-based incentives based on brand onboarding and revenue growth.
