Main duties and responsibilities Collaborate with the External Client Services Director to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives within the Edtech sales division. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the further education and technology sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and identify upsell opportunities. Identify and target new business opportunities within the further education sector, particularly focusing on technology-related solutions. Work closely with the regional sales teams to align sales strategies and tactics, ensuring consistent messaging and approach. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients. Actively participate in networking events, industry conferences, and other relevant forums to promote the company's offerings and generate leads. Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics to the External Client Services Director and senior leadership. Stay updated on industry developments, competitor activities, and best practices to continually refine sales strategies and tactics. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all interactions and transactions. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company. To undertake these tasks, you’ll need these important qualities: Strong Sales Skills : excellent sales skills, including the ability to identify and qualify leads, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively. Technical Aptitude : A solid understanding of technology and its applications within the further education sector. Communication Skills : Clear and persuasive communication skills are essential for delivering compelling sales presentations, building relationships with clients, and collaborating with internal teams. Relationship Building : Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Results Orientation : A results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives. Team Collaboration : The ability to work effectively as part of a team, both internally with colleagues from different departments and externally with clients and partners.
