Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our solar energy division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and promoting our solar products and services. This role involves strategic planning, lead generation, market analysis, and project management to drive the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector. Key Responsibilities: Business Strategy & Market Expansion: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to increase market share and revenue in the solar energy market. Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and qualify potential clients, including commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, and manage the entire sales lifecycle. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners in the solar energy industry. Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to position the company as a leader in the solar energy market. Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals in alignment with company goals. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including technical, project management, and operations to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction. Brand Promotion: Promote the company’s solar energy products and services through networking, industry events, and marketing initiatives. Reporting: Track and report on business development progress, revenue generation, and pipeline activity. Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the renewable energy or solar industry. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar energy technologies, market dynamics, and government regulations related to renewable energy. Sales Skills: Proven track record of generating leads, closing deals, and achieving sales targets. Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate complex contracts and understand the intricacies of large-scale projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to a diverse audience. Networking: Strong networking abilities and a well-established network in the renewable energy industry is a plus. Technical Understanding: Familiarity with solar power systems, energy storage, and sustainability practices is highly desirable. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of solar power financing options (e.g., PPA, leasing). Familiarity with solar design, installation, and regulatory standards.
