Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to play a crucial role in the growth and expansion of our agency. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities for marketing and creative services.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Generation & Management: Identify and qualify new business opportunities by leveraging market research, networking, cold outreach, and inbound lead follow-up. Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline using the agency's CRM.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the firm's core services (e.g., digital marketing, branding, content creation, media buying). Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Client Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business challenges, marketing needs, and decision-making processes.

Proposal & Presentation Development: Collaborate with the Strategy, Creative, and Account teams to develop compelling proposals, pitch decks, and presentations that articulate the firm’s value proposition and customized solutions.

Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and successfully close new business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to effectively position the firm's services and identify new market opportunities.

Reporting: Accurately forecast sales and provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to the senior leadership team.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of progressive sales/business development experience, preferably within a marketing agency, advertising firm, or related B2B professional services environment.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of the marketing landscape, including digital marketing, brand strategy, and media.

Skills:

Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).

Proven negotiation and closing skills with a track record of securing five and six-figure contracts.

Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
