MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus. Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role within the chemical manufacturing or related industries. Reporting to : Vice President -Sales Job Overview: The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the sales activities within the chemical manufacturing company. This position requires a strong understanding of the chemical industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales growth both domestically and internationally. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales team, developing sales strategies, building relationships with key clients, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. o Market and Competitor Analysis: o Continuously analyse market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge. o Provide strategic insights based on competitive analysis to support decision-making in product offerings and pricing strategies o Logistics and Dispatch Monitoring: o Track and monitor cargo movements from the plant to the vessel sailing point, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays. o Coordinate with freight forwarders to control vessel schedules and ensure seamless shipping operations. o Finalize and monitor freight forwarder quotations to ensure cost-effective shipping solutions while maintaining high service standards. o Relative/specific order communication with production/Lab/QC/logistics dept. o Customer Communication & Relationship Management: o Engage in regular communication with both domestic and overseas customers regarding product inquiries, order status, and shipping details. o Manage post-shipping documentation communication with overseas customers to ensure proper documentation and smooth transactions. o Resolve customer complaints related to product quality or packaging issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction. o Sales and Order Management: o Handle the complete sales process for both local and export products, including order processing, customer communication, and product delivery. o Oversee and ensure timely dispatch of orders in coordination with plant logistics and production teams. o Identify and locate potential new buyers or customers to expand the customer base and generate new revenue streams. Monitoring on disposal instructions to bank on payment receipt. o Payment Receipts Control: o Ensure proper control over payment receipts, tracking cash flow, and managing financial transactions to prevent discrepancies or delays. o Regularly monitor payment receipts, making sure they are accurately recorded and follow up with customers as needed for timely payment.
