Location: Mumbai Experience Required: 8+ years in business development and end-to-end sales within the events industry Salary: 14-18 LPA Employment Type: Full-time Work Days: Monday to Friday Job Overview: We are hiring a sharp and self-driven Business Development Manager who can independently manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching to closing deals. This role is tailored for someone who understands experiential marketing, has a solid grasp of client requirements, and can translate that into winning proposals without needing hand-holding from creative or servicing teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify new business opportunities through research, outreach, referrals, and networking. Build a lead funnel aligned to agency strengths in corporate events, brand launches, and campaigns. Understand market dynamics, emerging client needs, and competitor activities. Pitching & Proposal Management: Lead pitch strategy, coordinate proposal creation, and deliver compelling presentations to clients. Collaborate with internal teams for accurate timelines, budgeting, and execution feasibility. Write client-focused decks, costing sheets, and response documents with minimal supervision. Client Engagement & Closure: Manage client conversations from initial contact to closure. Negotiate budgets, commercial terms, and ensure alignment on deliverables. Own documentation including SOWs, contracts, and handover to delivery/ops teams. Post-Sale Coordination: Act as client POC until handoff, ensuring expectations are aligned internally. Follow up on onboarding, approvals, and operational readiness post-sign-off. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Management, or related field. PG/MBA preferred but not mandatory. Experience: 8+ years in business development, sales, or client engagement in the event industry. Prior experience in independently closing medium to large-ticket corporate event mandates. Technical Skills: Strong MS Office and Google Workspace proficiency. CRM tool usage and funnel tracking. Costing sheet and proposal documentation skills. Soft Skills: High ownership and self-motivation. Excellent written and spoken communication. Strong presentation, negotiation, and time management skills. Ability to operate independently and manage multiple leads simultaneously.
