Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the General Insurance and SME segment. Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, and partnerships with intermediaries or corporate clients. Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets for various general insurance products (e.g., Fire, Marine, Property, Health, Motor, Liability, etc.). Conduct client meetings to understand insurance requirements and provide suitable solutions. Coordinate with underwriters and operations teams for policy issuance, renewals, and claims support. Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure renewals and cross-selling opportunities. Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and product presentations. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and suggest strategic actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and other statutory guidelines. Regularly update CRM/sales tracker with accurate data on leads, meetings, and closures. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of General Insurance products (commercial and retail lines). Experience in handling SME clients and corporate accounts. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Goal-oriented with strong business acumen and analytical ability. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
