Business Development Associate (Intern)

To excel in this role, the candidate should possess a strong desire to learn about the company’s operations and market presence while proactively identifying untapped opportunities. Exceptional interns are strategic thinkers and effective problem solvers who understand the importance of building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with clients.


Business development associate Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the manager or designated team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct research through online sources, surveys, or direct communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, workshops, events, and exhibitions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, and suppliers on behalf of the management team.
  • Maintain and update documents, databases, and sales records accurately.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance in comparison to established targets.
  • Observe and assist in the execution of various sales processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive suggestions.
  • Support managers in client negotiations and business discussions.
  • Document key learnings and present insights to the team and relevant stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • A valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is an added advantage.
  • Resilience and the ability to handle rejection professionally.
  • Composure and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Presentable and professional demeanor.
