Job Title: Business Development Executive (Upwork & Online Portals)

About Us
My Virtual Teams is an IT services company specializing in web development, e‑commerce solutions, custom software, and digital services. We work with international clients and are looking for a Business Development Executive who can help us grow by generating qualified leads and closing new projects through Upwork and other online platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and new business from online portals such as Upwork, Freelancer, LinkedIn, and other marketplaces.
  • Search, identify, and bid on relevant projects (web development, e‑commerce, mobile apps, and related services).
  • Write high‑quality, customized proposals and cover letters tailored to each client’s requirements.
  • Communicate with international clients via chat, email, and calls to understand requirements, clarify scope, and build trust.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to prepare estimates, project plans, and solution outlines.
  • Negotiate terms, close deals, and hand over confirmed projects to the delivery team.
  • Maintain a structured pipeline and reporting of bids, leads, follow‑ups, conversions, and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Business Development Executive / Online Bidder / Lead Generation Specialist in an IT services company (web / mobile / software).
  • Hands‑on experience with Upwork is mandatory; experience with other portals (Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, PPH, LinkedIn) is a strong plus.
  • Good understanding of web development and e‑commerce services (e.g., Shopify, WordPress, custom web apps) to qualify leads and write accurate proposals.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working with monthly targets and KPIs for leads, proposals, and closures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a remote technical team.
