Job Description

  • A Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and contributing to the overall business development strategy.
  • They play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding a company's market reach. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation and Qualification: BDAs actively seek out potential clients though various channels (cold calling, networking, online research) and assess their suitability based on company criteria.
  • Relationship Building: They establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering trust and rapport.
  • Sales Support: BDAs assist in the sales process by preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating the delivery of products or services.
  • Market Research: They analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify potential opportunities and inform business development strategies.
  • Collaboration: BDAs work closely with other departments (marketing, sales, product development) to develop and implement effective business development
  • initiatives. Performance Tracking: They monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Staying Updated: BDAs stay informed about industry trends, product updates, and best practices in business development. Skills Required:
  • Sales and Negotiation: The ability to identify leads, present solutions, and close deals.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication (written and verbal) is essential for building relationships and delivering presentations.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: BDAs need to analyze data, identify challenges, and develop creative solutions.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software, online tools, and relevant business development platforms.
