Job Description

Job Title: Business Development AnalystOverview

The Business Development Analyst supports the company’s growth strategy by analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, evaluating competitors, and providing insights that guide strategic decision-making. This role works closely with sales, marketing, product, and leadership teams to drive revenue expansion and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential growth areas.
  • Analyze industry reports, economic data, and customer insights to support strategic planning.
  • Evaluate market entry opportunities and assess feasibility, risks, and ROI.

2. Competitive Intelligence

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, product offerings, and market positioning.
  • Prepare competitive analysis dashboards and reports to inform strategic decisions.

3. Opportunity Identification & Evaluation

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities (partnerships, segments, products).
  • Build business cases, financial models, and feasibility studies for potential initiatives.
  • Recommend prioritization of opportunities based on data-driven insights.

4. Sales & Revenue Support

  • Provide analytics support to sales teams (pipeline analysis, territory insights, performance metrics).
  • Support the creation of proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations with data-driven insights.

5. Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Assist in developing quarterly and annual business development strategies.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership through reports and presentations.
  • Track KPIs and measure the impact of BD initiatives.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and finance on strategic projects.
  • Provide analytical support for partnership discussions and negotiation processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and market sizing techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related) is a plus.
  • Experience in consulting, business strategy, or market research roles.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific trends (technology, SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.—customizable).
