Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialized knowledge in fintech to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our clients' business needs and technical solutions, with a particular focus on financial services products for the Australia and New Zealand markets. Key Responsibilities Requirements Analysis & Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for fintech products through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and market research. Translate complex financial processes and regulatory requirements into clear, detailed specifications for development teams. Create comprehensive requirement documents, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. Maintain requirements traceability throughout the product development lifecycle. Financial Domain Expertise: Apply deep understanding of financial services systems, payment processes, and regulatory requirements specific to AU/NZ markets. Research and stay current with financial regulations affecting our products (e.g., ASIC, APRA, RBNZ, and FMA requirements). Analyze competitive fintech products and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Work with compliance teams to ensure solutions meet relevant standards including AML/CTF, PCI-DSS, and privacy regulations. Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams. Present complex financial concepts and technical solutions to diverse audiences. Collaborate with UX designers to ensure intuitive user journeys for financial products. Work closely with QA to ensure testing scenarios cover financial edge cases and compliance requirements. Technical Requirements Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial services systems and processes (payments, lending, wealth management, or banking). Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Australia and New Zealand. Experience with financial data modeling and analysis. Understanding of API integrations common in financial services (payment gateways, banking APIs, KYC/AML services) . Technical Skills: Proficiency in business process modeling and analysis tools (BPMN, UML, etc.). Experience with requirements management and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.). Ability to understand and document database schemas and data flows. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. SQL knowledge for data analysis and verification. Core Requirements Experience: Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst with at least 3 years in fintech or financial services. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business language. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Market Knowledge: Understanding of the Australia/New Zealand financial services landscape. Preferred Qualifications IIBA certification (CBAP, CCBA) or equivalent. Experience with SaaS product development. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts. Experience with data visualization tools.
