Read Job Description Location: Mohali, Punjab Experience: 3-6 Years Job Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Analyst (BA) with 3-6 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirement gathering, Agile methodologies, backlog management, client engagement, and presales activities . This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation while driving innovation and value for our clients. As a Business Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in shaping product development, managing Agile processes, driving presales efforts , negotiating project scope with clients, and leading cross-functional teams. You will be expected to think critically, communicate effectively, and proactively identify new opportunities for business growth . Key Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering Documentation: Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements. Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and brainstorming sessions to define project goals and deliverables. Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, functional specifications, wireframes, and process flows . Ensure all requirements are properly prioritised in the product backlog . Very good with documenting the requirements, setting clear path to achieve and finalising the timelines for them. Agile Project Management Execution: Oversee and drive Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives . Maintain and manage the product backlog, user stories, and epics , ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborate closely with developers, designers, QA teams, and product owners to ensure seamless execution. Track and report project progress using Scrum/Kanban boards in tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Trello . Identify potential bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies , and proactively mitigate them. Client Engagement, Upselling Presales: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and clients , ensuring smooth communication and expectation management. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities by understanding client needs and proposing value-driven solutions. Participate in client pitch meetings, solution demonstrations, and presales discussions . Discuss and negotiate project scope, timelines, resource allocation, etc. with clients. Team Leadership Collaboration: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and QA professionals, ensuring alignment with business goals. Promote Agile best practices , fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Act as a problem solver , addressing team challenges, roadblocks, and process inefficiencies. Work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and enhance project delivery outcomes . Required Skills Qualifications: 3-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and hands-on experience in Agile project management. Expertise in requirement elicitation, backlog management, and user story creation . Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Github or similar Agile tools . Proven ability to engage with clients, manage stakeholder expectations, and negotiate project scope billable hours . Experience in presales, business development, or proposal writing . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders . Team leadership and people management experience . Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, CSM, SAFe Agilist, or other Agile-related certifications. Prior experience in IT services, software development, or product-based companies . Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, wireframing tools, and API integrations .
