Job Description

Role: Business Analyst Location: Bangalore Position Summary: Company is seeking to hire a Business System Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with multiple business stakeholders to improve the quality of data from across the organization. This will include e.g. Master Data Management and Data Quality reporting. This will be delivered by e.g. documenting user stories, conducting analysis, developing new processes and working closely with Data Analysts to undertake projects and tasks as required. This role facilitates Agile practices, maintains effective stakeholder communication, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The objective is to enhance project outcomes and drive business efficiency through precise analysis and collaboration. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: User Story Documentation: Document detailed user stories and estimate delivery effort to ensure clear and actionable requirements, including requirements for data visualization, analysis, and reporting, data management, and data privacy, security and compliance. This may apply across e.g. systematic and process changes Requirements Sessions: participate in requirements sessions with business SMEs to document and groom requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs. Requirements Validation: Ensure that user stories and requirements accurately capture the intended functionality and user experience. Testing: Document test scenarios and execution steps, ensuring traceability to user stories and requirements Conduct testing and confirm acceptance where relevant COMPETENCIES Business Acumen Ability to understand Company's Re business objectives, processes and systems. Ability to analyze complex workflows and implications for data Data Literacy and Analytical Thinking Ability to analyze and interpret complex business requirements, especially to deliver data management, reporting, visualization, and analytic capbiliteis. Data Privacy and Data Security Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA Agile delivery Experience working in an Agile environment delivery, including user story grooming and sprint planning, development, and user acceptance. Attention to Detail Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and analysis. Technical Proficiency Skilled in using business analysis tools and software. Communication Effectively communicates requirements and status to stakeholders. Problem-Solving Identifies and resolves issues efficiently. Collaboration Works well with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor's degree. Preferred Degree: Bachelor or Masters in in computer science, engineering, information systems. Certificate(s)/Special Training: Certified Business Analysis Professional Experience - 5+ Years KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, SQL, and data visualization tools. Understanding of agile methodologies, business process modeling, and requirements management. Proficiency in documenting user stories Experience in leading requirements sessions Strong requirements validation skills Work assignment and capacity management abilities Facilitation skills for Agile ceremonies Effective communication and leadership in daily standups and status meetings Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
