Job Description

Role & responsibilities Perform detailed remote visual inspections of internal engine gas path components using borescope equipment. Inspect compressor blades, turbine blades, combustion chambers, internal gas path parts and other inaccessible areas for signs of wear, damage, or defects. Identify foreign object damage (FOD), cracks, corrosion, and overheating signs. Evaluate the defects using advanced BSI equipment and provide disposition of engine conditions based on manufacturer guidelines and maintenance manuals -AMM, CMM, SBs, Etc. Provide photographic/video evidence to support inspection results. Ensure inspections comply with Part 145 regulatory and relevant manufacturer requirements. Adherence to approved maintenance procedures as per the SAESI (MOE). Follow safety regulations and maintain traceability of inspections. Record all findings in the approved maintenance records/logbooks and generate inspection reports. Prepare defect reports in approved manual /digital formats Ensure proper documentation for continued airworthiness compliance. Work closely with technical service engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure findings are properly addressed. Provide recommendations for repairs, further inspections, or component replacements. Assist in engine/parts troubleshooting based on borescope findings. Operate flexible and rigid borescopes, video scopes, and fiber-optic inspection tools. Ensure borescope tools are calibrated and maintained as per manufacturer requirements. Report and address any equipment malfunctions or calibration issues. Preferred candidate profile Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering Minimum 5 years of dedicated Engine Borescope Inspection experience. Engine gas path defect interpretation and measurement Technique experience. Mentor /Olympus or Equivalent 3D phase measurement equipment training and experience Previous Full gas path BSI and Bore blend experience in CFM56 Series will be an added advantage. Experience in using MDI reports, Gas power Assist, Aiir Innovation technologies will be an added advantage. Good knowledge on BSI best practices and emergency recovery process.
