Job Description

Boiler Operation and Monitoring Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers, ensuring optimal performance by regularly checking parameters such as temperature, pressure, and fuel levels. Adjust controls to maintain desired operating conditions and ensure efficient energy production. Routine Maintenance and Inspections Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on boiler systems and auxiliary equipment. Identify and address potential issues proactively to prevent system failures and ensure continuous operation. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and resolve malfunctions or irregularities in boiler operations. Perform necessary repairs or coordinate with maintenance teams to restore system functionality promptly, minimizing downtime. Water Quality Management Monitor and maintain appropriate water chemistry by conducting regular tests and adjusting chemical treatments as necessary. Ensure water quality meets operational standards to prevent corrosion and scaling within the boiler system. Safety and Compliance Management Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to boiler operations. Conduct safety checks, maintain safety equipment, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a safe working environment. Instrumentation and Control Systems Monitoring Utilize control systems and instrumentation to monitor boiler performance. Interpret data from gauges, meters, and computerized systems to make informed decisions regarding boiler operations. Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents. Prepare reports as required for internal records and regulatory compliance. Team Collaboration and Communication Work closely with other engineering and maintenance staff to coordinate activities and ensure efficient boiler operations.
