Position Name: PAP/2 Body Commodity Manager Underbody/Car Body/ Closure/Matching Department: Launch Management Reporting Position: Section Head Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech, Diploma in Engineering Years of Experience: In Case of B.E. (5 to 10 years) In Case of Diploma (8 to 13 Years) Location: Pune (Chakan) Purpose of the Position: 1.Lead & coordinate Analysis related to BIW commodity (E.g. Underbody, Car body, Closures) right from single parts till In-house ZSBs. Ensure and implement measures for ZSB proving, FM stabilizations, fitment concerns & design reviews related to Body Shop during Pre Series & series build. 2.Validate body shop equipments and process & Analyze build problems during Pre Series build and also ensure measures from all stakeholders. (E.g. Planning, TCP, Production, Quality, Technical Service etc.) 3.Identify bottlenecks in achieving the targets as well as forecasting of new tools/equipments requirements in future & planning actions to meet the same. 4.Maintain documented records of KPI target during Pre-series & Series phase & tracking of actions taken & planned for the working area. 5.Steer Analysis & measure for KT ZSB (outsourced sub assembly) Authority: 1.Authorized to recommend process change to achieve & maintain geometry and meet quality standards. e.g.-Fixture design, Spot plan, Spot sequence, clamping plan 2.Recommend design changes in welding fixtures during Pre-series phase & Modifications in fixtures After SOP in case of geometrical issue. 3.Decision making for Corrections in welding fixtures as per measurement report. 4.Authorized to plan, coordinate & execute Analysis steps related to CP5 area 5.Authorized to approve/decline leaves of reporting team members through LMS 6.Escalation of quality topics to top management which can emerge as potential customer complaints 7.To define & recommend the correction values for single part 8.Participate in Design reviews of fixture & equipments and recommend improvement measures to planning Skills Required: Process knowledge in Body shop Assembly Shop Process knowledge Measurement systems knowledge Engineering Drawing, FM catalogue, Measurement Reports (CMM, GOM, LEICA) Knowledge Know-how of Problem solving tools CAD & 3d printer analysis To decide corrective actions and impact of ZSB deviation in surrounding part Press shop process knowledge Critical Body Operations E.g. Hemming, Welding fixtures, Analysis Skills Leadership Skills Communication skills (English language & Computer proficiency) Conflict Management Quality Systems Knowledge e.g. QMS, EMS, EnMS,5S etc. Description: Product and Process Optimization (Series Phase) Lead the team & coordinate during measurement report study, analysis & fixture corrections activities with the CFT such as Production, Maintenance, QA departments, etc. Define action plan & follow up to achieve targets related to Cp, FM, Fuego Meisterbock & Aussen Meisterbock Communicate single part analysis to GQK as per fitment and measurement report. Correction suggestions & its validation for product improvement Geometry & part fitment issue analysis & permanent actions through process check & supporting the actions required for assembly concerns Decision & Coordination for weekend, NPD, shutdown activities with CFT E.g. Production, Maintenance, Planning, etc. Prepare & ensure timely parts measurement as per analysis requirements Implement changes such as spot plan, spot sequence, clamping plan suitable to bring out best quality of sub-assemblies Pre-Series Phase: Design reviews, fixture buy offs of welding fixtures at tool makers end Involved participation in fixture design modification, spot sequence, clamp plan finalization Maintain documented records of all problem sheets with clear tracking during each phase of product development process such as VFF,PVS & 0S Manufacturing defect checking & fixture stabilization & validation through CMM reports Steering single part analysis, Subassembly proving, maintain geometry & stability of BIW Management Tasks / KPI: KVP workshop, Island meeting, CP5 Audit, QRM attend, provide solutions to achieve Q-goals Implement & improve fixture stabilization program, process & problems awareness to team member to improve quality standards Monitor FMK as per target defined by the Management Team Development: Training needs to be identified for Team Members & recommendation to Section Head Ensure subordinates engagement for fulfillment of organization target/KPI Safety: Ensuring use of PPE while working on shop floor, Giving awareness about fire & safety
