Job Description Design Engineer (BIW Fixtures) Industry: Automobile (Electric Vehicle EV) Department: Production, Manufacturing & Engineering Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Engineering Roles and Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create and develop Body-in-White (BIW) fixture designs using CATIA software. 3D Modeling & Detailing: Develop and maintain accurate 3D models of fixtures, including assembly and disassembly sequences . Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure fixture designs meet manufacturing and production requirements . Feasibility Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies on new fixture designs to enhance and optimize production processes. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to quality standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements . Process Optimization: Contribute to improving efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness of fixture designs. Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Automobile, Production/Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering . Software Proficiency: Expertise in CATIA for fixture design. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of BIW components, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and tooling . Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize design and production efficiency. Team Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in BIW fixture design, EV industry, or automotive manufacturing will be an advantage. Knowledge of welding, jigs, and fixture development .
