Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with experience in the Commercial Insurance domain (Motor, Health, Marine, Fire, P&C, Travel, Liability - Domestic Segment). The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, supporting strategic roadmap development, and collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality insurance technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for Commercial Insurance products Translate business requirements into functional specifications, use cases, and process flows Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC Support implementation of third-party integrations and enterprise-level solutions Develop key documentation including BRDs, NFRs, RACI matrices, and approach documents Participate in strategic planning and product roadmap discussions Ensure timely delivery by working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments Assist the pre-sales team in business proposals and solution planning Utilize Microsoft Visio, Excel, and other tools for documentation and analysis Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to optimize processes Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in BFSI domain as a Business Analyst In-depth knowledge of Commercial Insurance (Domestic market only) Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with architecture principles and technologies like Cloud, Mainframe, etc. Proficiency in tools such as MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Working knowledge of SQL is preferred Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Experience with enterprise-scale software solutions and implementations Nice To Have Certifications like CBAP, PMP, or ITIL Exposure to AI, ML, and Automation in the insurance domain Experience in supporting digital transformation initiatives Education - Btech + MBA (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
