BIM Engineer-Revit

Role & responsibilities

• Supporting technical delivery of Complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Work in close coordination with the BIM Manager and junior design team to deliver high-quality BIM outputs.
• Compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment, and governance procedures, thus ensuring work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards.
• Undertake self-checking and assist with technical checks of work undertaken by the team. Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.
• Manage the Waters, Utilities discipline 3D models, check model quality and technical content including clash detection and compliance with the BEP.
• Work with the Information Manager and project teams to assist in the development and implementation of BIM strategies, BIM Execution Plans, workflows and processes on projects in accordance with InfraEn (India) Pvt Ltd. Standards, Client requirements and industry best practices.
• Actively contribute to project design development by contributing to internal coordination, clash detection and design review sessions as well as external presentations to clients.
• Provide over the shoulder support for junior staff, mentor and support them through technical training and live project work supervision.

Preferred candidate profile

• A Diploma or Bachelors degree holder in Civil Engineering with 3+ to 5 years of experience of delivering complex civil engineering projects, from the USA domain.
• Experience in applying Level 2 to 5 BIM on projects in compliance to US standards.
• Having experience working for US projects is mandatory.
• Extensive experience of detailing infrastructure
• Develop and manage detailed Revit models for water infrastructure projects including water treatment plants, pumping stations, pipe networks with associated fittings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and coordination across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create 3D models and sheet works for construction stage documentation.
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM tools.
• Maintain model standards and ensure compliance with project-specific BIM execution plans.
• Support project teams with model updates, revisions, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
• Must be an user or expert user in Autodesk Navisworks with capabilities to federate individual discipline BIM Models. Setup, maintain and run clash rules and clash tests across federated BIM Models.
• Must be able to use Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams. Must be able to perform Navisworks model management.
• Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360 or ACC. Understanding and experience of handling CDE Environment is a must.
