It is headquartered in Redwood City, California.Its core products include enterprise cloud data management and data integration. About The Job: Design and develop robust Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports to enable self-service reporting and deliver an intuitive end-user experience. • Write complex and efficient SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), including development of optimized views and queries to support reporting needs. • Develop and optimize star schema-based data models by designing dimension tables, fact tables, and relationships to ensure scalability and performance. • Leverage advanced DAX for creating measures, calculated columns, and field parameters to enhance reporting capabilities. • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and platform teams to ensure accurate data modeling and warehouse design that aligns with business requirements. • Translate business reporting needs into concrete technical requirements, focusing on data warehousing best practices and semantic modeling. • Conduct data validation, testing, and performance tuning to maintain high-quality data models and reports. • Define and standardize design and development practices across enterprise data models to promote consistency and reusability. • Provide guidance on Power BI deployment pipelines, workspace management, and cross-environment report automation. Essential Job Functions: Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query writing, view development, and optimization techniques for large datasets. • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles (e.g., ETL processes, dimensional modeling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas). • Expertise in semantic modelling within Power BI, including knowledge of granularity, hierarchies, and relationships. • Proficiency in advanced Power BI functionality, including DAX, Row Level Security, Power Query, Performance Optimization, Composite Models, and Storage Modes. • Familiarity with data modelling tools and best practices for scalable, high-performance design. • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and its integration within enterprise analytics workflows. • Experience with Power BI Apps, audiences, and deployment pipelines, including report auto-binding across environments. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on delivering actionable insights through data visualization. • Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working with tools like JIRA for project management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, data modelling, and BI development in an enterprise environment. • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (Pro/Premium capacity)- Mandatory • Proven experience with SQL-based data modelling and data warehouse design is essential. • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
