Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bharatanatyam dance instructor and/or performer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam, a love for teaching or performing, and the ability to inspire students and audiences through their art. Key Responsibilities: Teach Bharatanatyam dance classes to students of various age groups and skill levels. Design and implement structured lesson plans based on traditional Bharatanatyam syllabus (e.g., Kalakshetra or other recognized styles). Prepare students for stage performances, examinations, and cultural events. Perform in solo and group Bharatanatyam productions, both in-house and at external venues. Choreograph dance pieces and collaborate with musicians and other artists as needed. Maintain discipline, motivation, and enthusiasm in the classroom. Promote classical dance and culture through workshops, lectures, and community outreach. Qualifications: Formal training in Bharatanatyam with a minimum of years of experience. Arangetram (stage debut) preferred. Experience in teaching and/or performing Bharatanatyam. Excellent knowledge of theory, mudras, abhinaya, and nattuvangam. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in [Tamil/Sanskrit/English – as applicable].
