BESS Commissioning Lead

Job Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sales Support:

  Collaborate with the pre-sales team in planning energy storage system (ESS) commissioning activities. Prepare commissioning plans, provide technical input, and support customer communications during the proposal phase.

• Contract Phase Participation:

  Engage in contract negotiations by providing technical and commercial input related to the scope of work for Balance of Plant (BOP), EPC, and associated subcontractors. Clearly define contractual boundaries, responsibilities, obligations, and penalty clauses to ensure comprehensive risk control.

• Project Delivery & Commissioning:

  Develop detailed commissioning plans and lead commissioning work related to AC equipment and station-level devices. Coordinate commissioning resources, manage third-party and partner commissioning tasks, proactively identify risks, and ensure timely resolution to maintain project schedule integrity.

• Client & Stakeholder Coordination:

  Act as the commissioning representative, supporting the project management team in communication and coordination with clients and third-party stakeholders. Ensure all communications and documentation follow contractual and internal project management standards to maintain compliance and minimize dispute risks.

• Training & Knowledge Transfer:

  Organize technical training and hands-on sessions on third-party AC products to enhance the field teams knowledge and operational capabilities. Ensure on-site engineers can independently manage equipment faults and perform O&M tasks post-delivery.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Provide feedback on product performance, propose commissioning process optimizations, and contribute to overall product and service competitiveness enhancement.

Job Requirements:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.

• Experience:10+Yrs

  Minimum 3 years of commissioning experience in the renewable energy or energy storage sector, with exposure to international projects preferred.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of AC equipment, substation systems, and energy storage project commissioning.
• Familiarity with local renewable energy standards and safety protocols.
