Job Title: Beautician Trainer Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand Reporting To: Program Manager / COO About Aasraa Trust Founded in 2009, Aasraa Trust is dedicated to transforming the lives of the most underprivileged and vulnerable children from the streets and slums of Dehradun. Aasraa is more than a charity—it is a platform for empowerment through education, skills training, nutrition, healthcare, and shelter. With certification from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and active collaboration with the Uttarakhand Education Department , Aasraa is committed to improving education quality in 9 government schools in Dehradun. It is also running a Girls’ Education Program in four Inter Colleges in Udham Singh Nagar and has built dedicated shelters for orphaned, abandoned, abused, and special needs children. From its modest beginning with 35 children, Aasraa now supports over 11,000 children through 80+ projects across the Dehradun district. Role Overview The Beautician Trainer will be responsible for delivering structured and hands-on beauty training sessions as part of Aasraa’s vocational skill development program. This role is key to equipping students with practical knowledge and confidence, enabling them to pursue careers in the beauty and wellness industry. Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Delivery Deliver comprehensive lessons covering various beauty services including skincare, haircare, makeup, nail care, and more. Ensure sessions are interactive, engaging, and aligned with industry standards. 2. Practical Training Lead hands-on demonstrations and supervise students during practice sessions. Ensure students gain sufficient practical exposure and skill mastery. 3. Student Assessment Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments. Provide constructive feedback and help students prepare for certification. 4. Course Material Preparation Design and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools. Ensure content reflects current industry practices and trends. 5. Student Support Offer one-on-one guidance to students to address individual learning needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. 6. Industry Knowledge Stay informed on latest techniques, styles, and beauty technology. Integrate relevant trends into the curriculum to keep training contemporary. 7. Classroom Management Manage classroom behavior and dynamics professionally. Ensure a respectful, safe, and collaborative training environment. 8. Resource Management Oversee the proper use and maintenance of tools, products, and equipment. Ensure all materials are handled with care and safety standards are maintained. 9. Career Guidance Advise students on employment opportunities and pathways in the beauty sector. Help students build confidence and readiness for job placements or entrepreneurship. 10. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols during training. Promote best practices for health and safety in beauty services. Note: Additional coordination-related responsibilities may be assigned as per the Trust’s operational requirements.
