Bartender

A bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, maintains the bar area, and provides excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include taking orders, mixing cocktails, checking customer identification, handling transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. They must also be adept at working in a fast-paced setting, often during evenings and weekends. Core duties and responsibilities

• Drink preparation: Mix and serve a wide range of beverages, from classic cocktails to non-alcoholic options, following recipes accurately.
• Customer service: Greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, and handle customer complaints. They are responsible for creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
• Bar maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and organized, wash glassware, and ensure that tools, garnishes, and other supplies are ready for use.
• Inventory management: Monitor stock levels, restock supplies, and take inventory of liquor, mixers, and other bar supplies.
• Sales and transactions: Process payments accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system, manage open tabs, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Legal compliance and safety: Verify the legal drinking age by checking IDs and monitor customer consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other staff, such as servers and kitchen personnel, to ensure smooth operations.

Essential skills

• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of drink recipes and mixology.
