Job Description

Key responsibilities Beverage and food preparation: Making and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, such as espresso, lattes, and teas, and sometimes food items like sandwiches and pastries. Customer service: Greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments accurately, and answering questions about menu items. Equipment operation: Operating and maintaining coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment, including calibrating machines and cleaning them. Cleanliness and organization: Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and equipment. Inventory and restocking: Monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies like cups and beans, and helping with opening and closing duties. Health and safety: Following all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. Skills and qualifications Customer service skills: Friendly and outgoing personality to create a welcoming environment. Attention to detail: Needed for order accuracy, drink customization, and cleanliness. Ability to multitask: Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Cash handling: Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing payments. Physical ability: The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds is often required. Food safety knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures.
