Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead and manage strategic alliances with Banks, NBFCs, and Financial Institutions. The role involves identifying, onboarding, and nurturing partnerships to integrate banking products such as Payment Gateways, UPI, POS, Open Banking APIs, and Core Banking platforms, aligning with the companys digital payment ecosystem and growth strategy.

Role & responsibilities

Banking & NBFC Alliances

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard Banks, NBFCs, and Financial Institutions for product partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong CXO-level relationships to establish long-term strategic alliances.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, partnership models, and product collaboration frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment of partner solutions with the companys business roadmap and compliance standards.

Product & Integration Ownership

  • Drive seamless integration of Payment Gateway (PG), UPI, POS, and Open Banking APIs with partner systems.
  • Own the maker-checker process for PA/PG integrations and ensure business-level approvals before production go-live.
  • Collaborate with technical, compliance, and legal teams to maintain data integrity, regulatory adherence, and process efficiency.

Strategic Growth & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and execute partnership-led growth strategies to increase product penetration and revenue.
  • Support internal product and sales teams by aligning partner capabilities with merchant and corporate client needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new alliance opportunities and innovation areas.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a single point of contact for all banking and NBFC partnerships.
  • Work cross-functionally with Tech, Product, Compliance, and Marketing teams to deliver partnership success.
  • Build long-term value through trust-based, outcome-oriented partner engagement.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 5 to 12 years of experience in Banking Alliances / Fintech Partnerships / Corporate Banking / Business Development (Financial Sector).
  • Strong understanding of banking products, payments ecosystem, and fintech integrations.
  • Proven experience managing Payment Gateway, UPI, POS, or Open Banking API partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across technology, compliance, and business functions.
  • Knowledge of RBI/PCI DSS/PA guidelines is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Fintechs, Payment Aggregators, or Banks digital partnerships division.
  • Exposure to B2B fintech platforms or merchant payment solutions.
  • MBA/PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
