Job Description

Role Overview: As a Medical Doctor, your primary role will involve diagnosing and treating patients, providing patient care, performing surgical procedures (if applicable), maintaining medical documentation, and engaging in medical research and continuing education. Your responsibilities will also include effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate patients" medical histories and symptoms, perform physical exams, and conduct diagnostic tests to diagnose medical conditions accurately. - Prescribe treatment, medications, and therapies based on clinical evaluations, lab reports, and imaging. - Monitor patients" progress, provide ongoing care and support for chronic conditions, and offer guidance on lifestyle changes and preventive health measures. - Perform minor surgeries, assist in major surgical procedures, provide post-operative care, and monitor recovery. - Maintain accurate patient records, prepare reports for medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, and collaborate with other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care. - Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and prevention, and provide emotional support during difficult diagnoses or treatment regimens. - Stay updated on new medical research, techniques, and treatments, participate in medical research, clinical trials, and health education programs, and attend conferences and workshops to enhance medical knowledge. Qualifications Required: - MBBS degree from an accredited medical school. - Licensure as a medical doctor (required in most countries). Skills Required: - Strong knowledge of human anatomy, diseases, and medical procedures. - Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. - Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and healthcare team interaction. - Ability to work under pressure, handle emergency situations, and provide emotional support. Experience: - Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but internships and residencies may suffice. Additional Qualifications (Optional): - Specializations or certifications (e.g., in pediatrics, cardiology, or surgery) after completing further training. Work Environment: You will work in hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other healthcare facilities, which may require shifts including night shifts and weekend work based on the workplace. Note: The salary for this position varies depending on location, experience, and specialization, typically increasing with experience and additional training.
