BAMS Doctor for Production Plant-Pollachi

Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala Pvt Ltd is hiring for BAMS Doctor for our Pollachi unit. (Local candidates are most preferable)

• Job Title: Production Supervisor
• Manufacturing Location: Makkinampetty Village, Pollachi
• Reports To: Production Manager / Unit Head
• Qualification: BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) – mandatory

Job Purpose:

To oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Ayurvedic production unit, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency in the manufacturing process of classical and proprietary Ayurvedic medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day production activities in accordance with GMP and AYUSH guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to approved formulations, batch manufacturing records (BMR), and process validation.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance departments for smooth production flow.
• Monitor raw material availability, manpower allocation, and machine utilization for timely completion of production targets.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production, process sheets, and in-process quality checks.
• Assist in process optimization, reduction of wastage, and enhancement of product yield.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the production area.
• Support in training production staff on SOPs and GMP compliance.
• Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with store and dispatch teams for inventory and finished goods coordination.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic formulations, ingredients, and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of GMP, GLP, and AYUSH licensing norms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-handling skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and ERP systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and suggest practical solutions.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Ayurvedic pharmaceutical production (experience in churnas, asavas, arishtas, ghritas, tablets, or oils preferred).
• Exposure to automation and modern production technologies will be an added advantage.
• Preferably with 2–5 years of experience in Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing, formulation, or production supervision.
