Job Description

5+ years of professional experience in Java development with strong object-oriented design and clean code practices.
Expertise in Java 11+ and REST API development.
2+ years of production experience with Vert.x (Core, Web, EventBus etc..).
Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and cloud-native design patterns.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and asynchronous communication.
Strong skills in multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in Java.
Strong experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience with NoSQL databases such as Firestore, MongoDB, or Redis.
Familiarity with SQL query optimization, indexing, and data modeling for both RDBMS and NoSQL.
Proficient in using Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of containerization with Docker with logging and monitoring tools like Cloud watch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and system performance tuning skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Java code following best practices and design patterns.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
Build and deploy applications on AWS using services such as ECS, Lambdas, Api Gateway, Cloud front, SNS/SQS, RDS, ALB, S3, DynamoDB etc.
Design and implement scalable microservices and data processing pipelines in a cloud-native environment.
Manage asynchronous, non-blocking I/O systems and real-time processing pipelines.
Implement containerized services using Docker and deploy them via ECS, EKS, or similar orchestration platforms.
Model, query, and optimize database schemas and access patterns for performance and scalability.
Apply observability best practices using CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, or ELK.
Ensure application performance, uptime, and security by applying industry-standard DevSecOps practices.
Write clean, testable code and enforce code quality through reviews and static analysis.
Collaborate closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams in Agile environments.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members.
